Supermarkets of Cherry Hill, Inc. has earned the U.S Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA'S) prestigious Energy Star Rating for its ShopRite of Marlton, NJ. Some of the energy-saving technology used by the ShopRite of Marlton includes the use of high efficient refrigeration system, energy-saving HVAC systems, and refrigerated store case with energy-saving lamps and lighting systems.  The store's lighting consists mostly of Pulse Star HID and T8 fluorescent systems. 

In addition, Energy star qualified equipment is used in the store to further reduce energy consumption… ESM Metro NY, Montvale, NJ, has been appointed to represent Harbar Foods at headquarter and retail in the Metro New York/New Jersey market.   Harbar produces tortilla wraps for the foodservice industry and will be rolling out to retail with the Mayan brand of flour wraps in five SKUs: Burrito, Taco, Whole Wheat, Low Carb, and Fajita.  The line is new to the area…Uncle Wally's, a privately-held gourmet and wholesale muffin company, has acquired SKU Food, a Missouri-bases manufacturer of the world's first “slice and bake” muffins.   In 2007, Uncle Wally's and SKU Food formed a strategic alliance to produce Uncle Wally's Oven Luv'n Muffins, ready-to-bake refrigerated muffin dough available at select supermarkets around the country…And Nick Katopodis, owner of North Shore Farms stores in Glen Cove and Port Washington, LI, was honored by SCORE, the service Corps of retired Execs, for his longtime support of the organization.   A dinner was held in his honor at The Plandome Country Club in Plandome, NY on May 16.
